This tutorial shows how to move Simulator Window.
Some Simulators like iPhone 8 can b simply dragged by holding on the top black part.
Others like iPhone X or 11 can't be dragged like that because such motion gets picked up as a swipe event.
For them the trick is first dragging in the direction away from the screen then you can drag it wherever you like.
For instance if you click on the left edge move the mouse first to the left.
If you move Simulator downward it will stop when it hits the screen border. So you can stop there to avoid caption.
If you continue to drag it downward it will go beyond the screen border.
